House5 Production releases MISFIT a film based on a true life story...

The much anticipated movie MISFIT, written and directed by Daniel Emeke Oriahi was finally screened yesterday at the Film House, Surulere. Lagos, by press and invited guest, i was privileged to be part of the selected viewers.
The movie is based on a true life story. It is a psychological thriller recounting the strange but true ordeal of a lady abducted by a mysterious group. Waking from an unconscious state, she discovers incisions on her stomach resembling a form of initiation. It is a story of liberation of a victim of ritual abduction, assault and molestation.
It is the first feature film motion produced by House5 Production. It is produced in a cinematographic style where stable image techniques were purposely dispensed with , this technique according to the producer was applied to give a pseudo-documentary 'cinema verite' appearance to the film.
The impeccable Actor Ijeoma Agu played the lead role and i wasn't surprised at her performance because i know she always dig deep to bring every character she plays to life, Rita Edward played the Female Supporting role and i must say she really really really blew me off! its the first time am seeing her act or even hearing her name but i was super impressed, she was so believable that i almost thought she was a naive village girl for real, Kelechi Udegbe wore his character so well that i didn't even recognize him! thought he was someone else because he totally became the character he was playing! All the actors were just so believable that it made viewing interesting and when it ended we could easily have asked for more plus a lot of us fell in love with some lines, so cool.
Overall, i would say beautiful and inspiring story, impeccable and outstanding acting, great locations, only had issues with the camera always trying to focus but later found out that was intentional and in fact how its meant to be, great job to the entire cast and crew for this eye opening movie, a girl somewhere would watch this movie and learn because this happens everyday.
I see Awards coming soon for them. MISFIT is now available on DOBOX www.dobox.tv/misfit from today the 16th of November 2013. Log in and watch believe me you would be glad you did...wink

Omowunmi Dada hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. She is an Actor/Presenter and Voice Over Artist. She is a graduate of Creative Arts from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Omowunmi claimed she has always loved the arts from her primary school days and she had this burning desires that was unquenchable, all she wanted to do was act, dance, and sing, which made her decide to study it more in the University.
She has been acting right from her school days as a Creative/Theatre Arts student, she is required to do stage plays, while still in school she was going out to also act but featured in her very first movie called OYA in 2008 but she had to slow down because of the tight schedule in school.

Playing with recipes (Chicken Soup)

Hello wonderful people. Made this very yummy Chicken Soup and want to share it with you. Its a really easy comfort food to prepare and you can use your leftover chicken to make it.

Ingredients

  • chicken chopped
  • carrots diced
  • tomatoes diced
  • chicken broth
  • garlic crushed
  • egg yolk
  • yogurt
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onions chopped
  • parsley chopped
  • bay leave
  • thyme

Method
1. If you are using fresh chicken; boil the chicken with enough ingredient, add some carrots, thyme, bay leave, parsley and onions. When the chicken is cooked, take out and remove the skin and bone and cut to bite sizes.
2. If you are using leftover chicken: you can either cut it to bite sizes and throw it into the chicken broth or roast them for a few minutes in a pan with butter to give your soup a lovely taste.
3. Bring the broth to a boil. Throw in all the vegetables, (you can use frozen vegetables saves your time).
4. Add the chicken and parsley. Taste and Adjust seasoning.
5. Mix the yogurt, egg yolk, corn flour  and lemon in a boil and a little water, mix until it is well blended and pour it into the chicken stock on fire. Bring to a boil.
6. It is ready to eat. Serve with baguette and enjoy.
N.B - It will fill up your tummy faster than you think so i will advice not to border making another meal, i had an idea we will have the soup for starters and then a main dish but after the soup we were stuffed. lol

Yummy Chicken Soup
