New Movie Alert: Pixpho Labs's '1J316'

1J316 is a short account of a group of Nigerian peace-keeping soldiers trapped behind enemy lines in the Sierra Leone Civil War. Facing an overwhelming rebel force, the commander makes a decision to pay the ultimate price in order to save one of his men. Written, Edited and Directed by Dr. Akpoufuoma Edafe, Produced by Seun Akanbi, Akpoufuoma Edafe and Deji Dosu, Starring: Bright Ihedigbo, Oluwatobi Lasisi,Tosin Ogunsanwo, Temitayo Bastos, and a host of other great actors.
Shot in the University of Lagos premises over a 12 hour period, 1J316 promises to herald the beginning of a new era in the Nigerian Movie Industry, ultimately leading to the production of films that out-rival Nollywood counterparts.


Pixpho Labs says Nollywood have lots of poor quality, story telling and directing movies, failed attempts to produce a good action genre movie that will capture the attention of the audience due to lack of quality special effects (SFX) and inattention to details. These issues and more they aim to solve with their creative mix of captivating, authentic stories, quality special effect and attention to details, with original stories and also touch on issues that are dear to the heart of the audience.

  1. Film therapy is something that doesn't get a lot of attention and honestly doesn't have that much research. But it's something I feel could be very useful as a tool.
