Just watched the short film titled BRAVE, it is a very inspiring and emotional story that brought tears to my eyes. Brave is an inspirational short film inspired (but not based) by a true story on page 88 of T.D Jakes 'The Lady, Her Lover & Her Lord'. It is a heartfelt story based on the lives of a young couple, Nathan (Wole Ojo) and Layo (Adesua Etomi) who seem to have happiness, love and comfort. Though married for two years, layo is beginning to worry about her failure in getting pregnant. When eventually she does get pregnant, she hides the news from Nathan, Preparing to break the good news on their anniversary dinner outing in two days. Unfortunately, that night will mark the beginning of a nightmare both may not wake from, and suddenly, love is not enough. Awesome joy by all the actors, it starred: Adesua Etomi, Wole Ojo, Diana Yekinni, Pat Mohie and Funmi Sobayo. It was Written & Directed by Lowladee. Produced by Lowladee & Miju-Diya.

JAP would be hosting series of Guest Blogging on issues relating to the entertainment industry, how to acquire and improve on skills, how to become better, how to move the industry forward. e.t.c. Today am honoured to have a very challenging and interesting article written by JOVI BABS a young Nigerian Actor, Writer, Producer and Entrepreneur, on suggestions of how to create a new business model for Nigerian Movies, i believe you would learn one or two things from it.

Time For a New Business Model for Nigerian Movies
have noticed in the movie business that many practitioners would
rather have someone handle the sales of their film or TV series rather than
take an active part in it most especially those who went to film school and
croon about division of labor.
That would work in a developed economy but one can see from the
difficulties of recouping sales for your movies and TV series projects that it
is challenging in Nigeria. This is the major reason many people are abandoning
movie making and going to TV series but you still have the advert execs to deal
with and here in Nigeria its a buyers (advertisers)market.

Nigerian singer, Nikki Laoye is sending a public plea foe help for young physically challenged lady, Kelechi.
A graduate of the University of Lagos and self employed make-up artiste, Kelechi Uhegwu hails from Abia State and is the eldest of three Children.
Diagnosed with paralytic scoliosis at age 1, Kelechi has spent most of her life in and out of hospitals for constant treatment. Now in her 20s and dealing with other effects of scoliosis such as unlevel shoulders, prominent ribs, uneven hips, a shift of the waist and trunk to the side, and an upper spine twist which has resulted to kyphosis and causes back pain, Kelechi needs corrective surgeries as early as possible.
Kelechi needs 15 million naira (£47,000) for two major surgeries in the UK to save her life and enable her walk. So far, different avenues have been created to raise funds for Kelechi. On the 26th of May, 2013 some Nigerian Artistes : Sound Sultan, Nikki Laoye, Kcee, Solid Star, HarrySong and a couple of other artistes organised a fund raising musical concert for Kelechi in Festac, Lagos. Few donations have been received but there is still a long way to go to reach the target required.
