Meet Lucy Ameh, the new Screen Marvel to watch out for...

Lucy Ameh is a talented Multi-Award Winning Actress/Aspiring Producer. She hails from Benue State but was born and bred in Kaduna State, Nigeria. She holds a BSC in Mass Communications from NTA TV College Jos affiliated to ABU Zaria, she alao holds a diploma in Law from the University of Jos.
She got inspired to become an actor the moment she found out it was humans that are inside the 'BOX' TV even though she had no idea how to get into the 'BOX'. She was always the outgoing one amongst her siblings, the outspoken one that won all arguments which made her decide to study Law but her passion for the art kept chasing her. From her secondary school days as a boarding house student she would save her pocket money and use them to rent VHS Cassettes and catch up on all the Nigerian movies during holidays and when she returns to school she will dramatise and mimic all she watched to her hostel mates, she felt it then that all she would ever want to become is an Actress but her father wanted her to study Law and that she did and went on to chase her own dreams.
In 2015, her mother who she calls her number 1 fan kick started her career by enrolling her for a 3 months Acting training, after the training she stared in her very first screen job titled 'Nemesis'. She then joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Kaduna in 2005 and when she had to leave to school in Jos she also joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Jos and she got to star in more productions. In 2007 she stared in a movie titled 'Beauty and the Beast' along side Nadia Buria and the movie did so well, you can still get to watch it on youtube, she then decided to make a bigger move and applied to be part of the Reality show Next Movie Star, Nigeria/Ghana and she made it into the house and was housemates with Uti Nwachukwu, Lydia Forson, Martha Ankoma, Adesewa, e.t.c. After the reality show she decided to leave Lagos and head back to the North to continue her education.
In 2010, she returned to the industry with full force after she starred in Ishaya Bako's highly acclaimed 'Braids on a Bald Head', her career got a major turn for good as producers took interest in her and the rest is history...She has since starred in several productions, some of which includes: the highly anticipated 'Queen Amina', Bariga Sugar, Revolution, Learning Curves, Unfair, Gloom, Band of Five, O-Town, Handcuff, Fallen Angel, Dise Secrets, The Councillor, Dagger, Goldlyne, Six of Us, just to mention but a few.
She aspires to be a producer, she learnt producing as part of her course at the NTA TV College, Jos for 4 years and have done some shorts, documentaries and TV Programs and she hopes she finds the producing zeal once again, she also loves to plan events and have successfully done some.
In 2010, she was awarded Best Actress by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Kaduna, She won Best Actress in 2013 at the Legacy Film Festival, Jos, Double Best Actress winner at the Kaduna Entertainment Awards in 2014 and 2015, nominee Best Actress at the Zuma Film Festival 2012 and she was awarded a recognition Award for Excellence by the Kaduna State Government in 2016.
Lucy is outstanding at what she does because her passion for the arts is what drives her, she reads a lot and train herself to become a better actor, she is a goal getter, hardworking, respectful, confident and a great listener.
