New Short Film Alert: Nadine Ibrahim's 'TOLU'

Nigerian Filmmaker, Nadine Ibrahim released her short film 'TOLU' after it has had a very successful screenings at Film Festivals and events, one of the most notable was the screening at the United Nations. 'TOLU' is Directed and Edited by Nadine Ibrahim, Produced by Uduak-Obong Patrick, Cinematographer Oluseyi Asurf, Visual Effects by Genesis Williams, it stars Halimat Olarewaju, Somkele Iyamah, Wale Ojo and Karibi Fubara.
Tolu is a collaboration between Naila Media and Asurf Films.
'Tolu' is Nadine's second film after her highly acclaimed short film 'Through her Eyes' the story of a girl child suicide bomber. 'TOLU' is also about a girl child who lives with her family in a small fishing community in Nigeria, after been seen as useless by her father because she is a girl, in order to prove herself valuable to the community and break the gender stereotype, she embarks on a journey by herself into the ocean to try and catch as many fishes as possible, on her journey, she meets a wise old man that shows her a side to reality that she has never seen before.
The Director, Nadine Ibrahim says her inspiration for the project was 'Life of Pi', she got fascinated with cinematic visuals and CGI after watching Ang Lee's film.
