New Short Film Alert: Victor Negro's 'Suicide for Sale'

Victor Negro releases his short film 'Suicide for Sale' online. Written and  Produced by Victor Negro, Directed by Victor Negro and Olu Alvin, it featured Michael Adejonwo, ife Owosuna, Sydney Uzor, Emmanuel Obioma and Chigozie Otuka.
Synopsis:
A frustrated young man wills to die. The moment of willful self-murder births a thought to use the same instrument of death to smile back to life. But unfortunately, it wasn't as it was.

New Short Film Alert: Yemi Jolaoso's 'Abducted'

Yemi Jolaoso has released his much talked about short film ABDUCTED which features veteran actor Femi Branch and fast rising actor Monica Friday. Produced and Directed by Yemi Jolaoso, written by Akin Harrison.
'Abducted' tells the story about how a lady called Bola's (Monica Friday) trip was cut short when she ends up being kidnapped by a mysterious man disguised as a taxi driver (Femi Branch). She soon realises this is not just for ransom, what her captors want is her life.

Winners at the In-Short International Film Festival 2015

The IN-Short International Film Festival 2015 held at Four Point by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos and it was attended by so many prestigious filmmakers, actors and movie lovers like Richard Mofe-Damijo - RMD, Mahmood Balogun, Rogers Ofime, Mykel Parish, Chioma Ude the Founder and Executive Director of AFRIFF, Stanlee Ohikhuare, Kiki Omeili, Emeka Ossai, Judith Audu, Uduak-Obong Patrick,
It was a one of a kind award ceremony this year as the winner of Best Film and Best Director walked away with more than just an award plaque but a deal worth millions. Richard Mofe-Damijo - RMD offered to star for free in the winners next production, Kingsley Ogoros Studio offered free camera for 7 days, Nevile Ossia offered to Produce, Sylvya Oluchy, Judith Audu, Stan Nze and a host of other actors also offered to act for free in the winners next movie. The Best Director was offered an all expenses paid trip to Berlin for the next Berlinale and the President of African Film Consortium, Mykel Parish offered an all expenses paid trip to Kigali, Rwanda, says the Founder of the In-Short International Film Festival, Mr. Victor Okhai.
JAB says a very big congratulations to all the winners and filmmakers that got their movies screened.

New Short Film Alert: Tolu Ajayi's 'The Encounter'

Trina Studios releases the short film that got every one talking and made a statement at the African International Film Festival 2015 by winning the Best Short Film. 'The Encounter' is Produced by Ekene Mekwunye, Directed by Tolu Ajayi, Screenplay by Egbemawei Dimiyei Sammy and Frederick Obiora Anyaegbunam, Orginal Story by Henry Onyema, D.O.P Adekunle 'NODASH' Adejuyigbe, Production Design by Uche Nwaohiri, It stars Amara Onoh, Stan Nze, Gregory Ojefua, Henry Nwachukwu, Ezekiel Kayode, e.t.c.
The Encounter: Set in 1967 during the Nigerian civil war, an imprisoned Emmanuel Ifeajuna is summoned by Biafran Commander-in-Chief General Emeka for one last conversation, one last encounter. Based on the original short story 'The Encounter' by historian, Henry Onyema.
