MTV Staying Alive Foundation and MTV Base Release New Shuga Comic

From the award winning series 'Shuga' comes the new Shuga Comic book based on the gripping story of Nii and Malaika from Shuga Season 3.
One of the most riveting and highly emotional storylines in Shuga Naija has to be Nii and Malaika's. Their turbulent relationship was powerful and yet for some quite disturbing.
Several discussions around gender-based violence erupted around this storyline and in this new Shuga comic we explore this issue in much more detail.
The comic book tackles gender-based violence in a much deeper way and offers an alternative ending to the Nii and Malaika story.

The comic provides useful tips on where to go for 'advice and support' and contains contact details of various organizations that assist victims of gender-based violence in Nigeria; as well as important emergency numbers in the country.
Fully produced in Nigeria, the Shuga comic boasts artwork from some of Naija's top artists. It will be available at public places like Cinema, Supermarkets, e.t.c. and NGOs offices that deal with the subject matter for free.
