Meet Fiyin Gambo, a Filmmaker that wants to bring Fast and Furious to 3rd Mainland Bridge...

Meet Fiyinfoluwa Gambo fondly called Fiyin Gambo, a Nigerian Action Filmmaker, CEO of Cliq Studios and Public Speaker. He hails from Yola North of Adamawa State, Nigeria, a graduate of Civil Engineering from. Covenant University,  Nigeria.
In 2014, when he was in his 200 level was when he realised he really wants to be a Filmmaker because he wants to change how the world perceives Africans to a positive one , correct the inferiority complex most Africans have as being less because of their skin colour, and also to address key social issues with his films.
Fiyin said he has always wandered why we didn't have tent pole or action blockbusters with. all the special effects and all, he did research and discovered Visual effects and softwares like 3Ds Max they use on Hollywood films are actually all available to us! That was when his Eureka moment happened. He actually forayed into Nollywood to make films he enjoyed watching growing up but he eventually fell in love with the art of using motion pictures to tell stories that take people into different worlds and actually start conversations that challenges the status quo.
He started filming professionally in 2017. He started out by shooting short commercials that had some visual effects to test the possibilities of the technology, he later went to shoot some short films on child tracking and a couple of audacious and experimental short films, and then he incorporated his production company 'Cliq Studios'.
Fiyin says his early. experience was very interesting and challenging at the same time, getting people to buy into his idea and dream especially as a new face was quite challenging. However, he was quite fortunate to have the support of his parents and great mentors like Mr. Jimi Awosika, the Convenant University community and many others that invested in his dreams, morally and financially.
He shot his major motion picture at the age of 19 in 2017, an action film set in the heart of one of the busiest and commercial part of Lagos State, Nigeria, an independent production titled 'PURSUIT', which was seen as a revolutionary and breath of fresh air, it was highly acclaimed and got great reviews.

He has since directed 'Regalia' for Cut 24 Productions, 'UNASHAMED Series, 'Pass the Torch Ad' for Junior sport events, and he was the trailer editor for 'Code Wilo'. He has gone on to win several awards like: Brand of the Year 'Cliq Media' by Convenant University 2005, SME 100 25 under 25 for SME 100 Africa 2018. impact in Media, Hero for Creativity at the Wing Awards Convenant University 2018, Award of excellence at the Nigerian society of Engineers, Award by the Rotary Club of Nigeria, Awka, 2018, Young Person in Business award 2019 by 19 Role Model Awards.He taught himself how to make films by. reading a lot of. filmmaking books and from. watching. tutorials on Youtube, he gathered a lot of experience, so when he finally got an opportunity to make his film, all he had to do was earn the trust of his cast. and crew and it was a smooth sail from there.
Fiyin says his role models includes; Micheal Bay because he makes great and profitable action films, Steven Spielberg because he is a true master of the art of filmmaking, James Cameron because of his audacious projects, Tyler Perry because of his mastery of the art of emotions, Oluseyi Asurf because he is young, audacious and his story telling is inspiring, Nodash because he is his personal mentor, well read, composed and very inspiring, Judith Audu because she is his Nollywood mom, supportive of his dreams. and her advice has been one that has helped him wade through the storms, Kunle Afolayan and Niyi Akinmolayan because they have done so well in challenging the Status quo.
Fiyin believes he will stand out because he makes action films and also applies his holistic branding and design approach to the whole filmmaking process.
He says he is wild, bold, audacious, different, pathfinder, calculated, respectful, Innovative, Motivational, among other things.
As a filmmaker he says he would love to be introduced as an unconventional filmmaker, with a strong hold in the action genre, he says he loves action, well told stories and great dramatic performances.
Fiyin sees himself as a social influencer with great showmanship, he is a band consultant at Redot Agency, he also has a way of speaking aspirationaly that inspires and gives people hope, he loves going to the movies, exploring new places and taking pictures. He is excited about the action genre and is passionate about filmmaking. He is currently filming the 'Missing Series'.
