She calls herself a born-actor as her love for acts has been evident right from when she was a little, she loved to draw and paint. She started acting from her primary school days and made up her mind to focus on training herself to become one of the best female actors, that was the reason why she went to the University to study Theatre Arts.
She entered into a reality show for actors in 2012, The Next movie Star, her impeccable and outstanding acting skills stood her out
from the other contenders and She won, after being crowned the Next Movie Star in Nollywood, Halimat become an unstoppable force and has had her hands full ever since.

She first appeared on screen in 2009 when she featured in No Where to be Found and has since featured in several Movies and TV series like: Dazzling Mirage, Hunting Diamond Jo, Dormitory 8, In My Father's House, Bella's Place, No Where to be Found, Mama Bomboi, Tendencies, The Journey, just to mention but a few...
She believes there is no time to rest even though it hasn't been an easy journey but because your are only as good as your last performance so one has to keep on working. Her winning NMS exposed her more to fame and opened doors of opportunities but she still works very hard to create a niche for herself.
Halimat is a charmer with her sweet smile, charisma and positive aura, she is a very confident, creative, humble, friendly, intelligent, talented and focused young lady, she believes this coupled with her persona, panache and passion for acting makes her standout as an actor.
She is a delight to work with as she is both fun and hardworking, wears whatever character she is playing to the best of her knowledge.
