This is a MUST SEE musical show which features a historical special theatre musical performance; this is The African Jambalaya: Astory of how a King called Diamond (Desmond Elliot) strikes up a deal with 'Oba toh badt' (Adot Comedian) to save his daughter from her wicked ways, we get to experience history as it is made as we come out to see the first ever Afrobeats Theatrical Musical.
Damwin Media was founded by two young graduates from Brunel University whose allaince gave birth to the creation of an Afro-beats theatre producion called'African Jambalaya' (An Afrobeat Fairytale) The company has collaborated with different organisations like 'Imperial Dynasty' and 'Smart Promo/SIP nad worked on projects like Africa Unplugged amongst others.
On this particular project they have collaborated with a modern theatre group 'Silhouettez in the Dark' to create the first ever Afro-beats fairytale in theatres in order to highlight upcoming talent to the world.
The event will be held on the 26th of January 2013 at SYNC LONDON -361 High Street Stratford, London, E15 4OZ. The evening promises to be a mix of diverse African culture with variety of entertainments consisting of dance, music, poetry and drama amongst others.
Nigerian Actor and Director Desmond Elliot alongside YouTube sensation Adot Comedian, Africa Boy and new comer June Ubi are a few names that will be taking part in this production.
